Overview: A self-initiated 3D animated music video mapping experimental spatial design, audio-reactive editing, and procedural animation architectures. The project serves as an end-to-end production pipeline exercise, exploring how organic physical simulations can interact smoothly with rigid, hard-surface geometries inside high-end rendering spaces.
Technical Pipeline & Production Breakdown
Box Modeling & Asset Layouts: Modeled custom geometric assets and rigid surface elements directly within Cinema 4D, focusing on strict topological cleanups, surface continuity, and efficient edge-flow distribution.
Physical Dynamics & Simulations: Engineered complex, procedural motion architectures using native simulation systems to balance high-friction rope dynamics, particle systems, and fluid behaviors. Focused on seamless collision interactions between multi-layered soft bodies and rigid environments.
Redshift Lookdev & Material Engineering: Developed customized Node-based shaders completely from scratch within Redshift. Structured complex material definitions combining physical refracion, subsurface scattering, metallic rough maps, and custom texture layering.
Cinematography & Cinematic Cameras: Designed expressive camera movements and dynamic sweeps utilizing customized animation curves to emphasize structural scale, velocity shifts, and physical impact synchronized with the sound layout.
Lighting & Production Rendering: Built sophisticated studio lighting arrays utilizing global illumination, physical area lights, and volumetric fog setups inside Redshift to create deep atmospheric weight and cinematic shadows.
Advanced Compositing & Output: Handled all rendering using multi-pass optimization systems (AOVs). Executed final material integration, multi-channel color grading, and unified optical tracking layers inside After Effects for a polished broadcast finish.
